One of my goals this year is to shoot more personal work. By personal I mean… things I’ve been wanting to do but have been too afraid/or made excuses for myself so that I didn’t have to do it. Yes, I’m guilty of that. A few years ago, I really wanted to shoot lifestyle sessions. I wanted to photograph people in their homes. I never did that, yet my heart still yearns for it.
This year that will change. I think it’s so important to make personal ideas come to life so that we don’t get too comfortable.
I photographed my first personal session the other day. I am so excited about the outcome. It’s crazy what you produce when you actually make the effort to simply create for yourself. You’ll be so inspired.
