A little bit of Seoul

“Embrace the detours” -Kevin Charbonneau

We were lucky enough to have a 10 hr. layover in Incheon, South Korea. SO…we took the subway to Seoul and wandered it’s streets…

I <3 Seoul

Seoul was really awesome to see. I loved wandering the streets.  It was so cold, and I loved every single second of it. I could also eat 5 boxes of kkultarae, but that’s another story. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I guess we’ll have to return soon:)

Travel has my heart.

Next travel post: Thailand <3

Liz

LOVE when my brides become friends. I photographed Liz’s wedding this past February, and we’ve been buddies ever since. I absolutely adore her to pieces!! Besides being an awesome friend, she’s assisted me at a handful of my weddings this year. I couldn’t be more grateful for her! We have so much fun when she helps me out, and I wish I could always have her shoot for me. She recently launched her new blog and website. We did a portrait session a couple of months ago for the launch. Below are 3 favorites, but visit Liz’s blog and site to see a few more :)

Love you, Liz! SO proud of you! Can’t wait to see all the wonderful things you’ll accomplish!

Awkward Family Photo

While we were in Chiang Mai, we visited Tiger Kingdom. This is what they made me do when I asked them to take a photo. Actually, they make pretty much everyone lay their head on a tiger when you ask for a photo. You can’t tell that I was a little scared that this baby (which is pretty much my size since I look like I have half legs) was going to jump up and claw me because it’s hidden by that HUGE smile on my face. I’m FIRED!

I.am.ridiculous! I don’t exactly know why I’m sharing this…

Happy Friday!

P.S. I haven’t and will NEVER ask my clients to pose like this. Unless there is a baby tiger involved. Duh! ;)

Take the time to smile

I’m back from Thailand. Obvi :) Our trip? It was unforgettable. I’m already counting down the days til we return. I loved our time there so much. My heart is full just thinking about it.

The people of Thailand have become some of my favorites. No, really. They’ve left a mark on me, and in some ways I want to be more like them. They are kind, and gentle. They work hard. They take time out of their day for worship and thanks (I’m trying to be better at this everyday). Most of all, they always have a smile on their face. Even when life is hard.

On days that I become frustrated about ridiculous things (like today), I’ll think about the people of Chiang Mai with smiles on their faces. They’ll be a constant reminder that there’s so much to smile about. Even on days that make you feel like it’s the end of the world. Ok, maybe that was a little dramatic ;)

I can’t wait to share more photos. For now, I’ll leave you with this frame from the market. Doesn’t his smile just warm your heart?

I miss Chiang Mai more and more as the days pass <3

Annikke + Milton: Tea Ceremony

Just wanted to share a few frames from Milton and Annikke’s tea ceremony. I’ll be sharing more of their wedding day soon. I kinda coveted Annikke’s bridal gown :) Until then…
